I was raised by very health-conscious parents who taught me about the importance of good food in its natural form and I have always eaten well. My self-education in nutrition and exercise began in 2011 when I battled and overcame my own serious GI issues including IBS and SIBO. My experience lead me to pursue official certifications and launch my own personal training and wellness company (Playful Fitness) in 2016. In 2018, I was honored to become the official fitness advisor for Fox 21 News in Colorado Springs.
At the end of 2018, my husband of nearly 6 years left, and my life got turned upside down. During the next two years, I dug deep into my own inner healing. I learned that health was not just about food and exercise but about being whole, inside and out. I learned that living nourished takes more than just “eating healthy” or working out and that, in fact, sometimes health means enjoying a burger, taking a nap instead of going on a run, and resting instead of pushing hard. I am passionate about health. Not just physical health but mental, spiritual and physical health and I am passionate about helping my clients learn to live nourished lives, to be kind to themselves and grow and heal every day.
As a certified health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and a certified sports nutritionist with the National Academy of Sports Nutrition, my educational journey has enlightened the unique nature of health and wellness. I believe in a personalized approach to health, recognizing that everyone's needs are unique. My mission is to support you in finding your path to optimal health and confidence, integrating lasting lifestyle habits and a shift towards a more positive and empowering mindset. My personal journey through wellness, spanning over a decade, has been filled with its own set of challenges, including autoimmune conditions, disordered eating, and battling a negative mindset. Transitioning from a fitness competitor to a health advocate, I've learned firsthand that true health transcends physical fitness.
